Der DJ und Producer Ulf Lindemann aka [dunkelbunt] startet post-pandemisch mit neuem Konzept und frischer Crew neu durch: Er überträgt sein weltoffenes, zeit- und raum- und genre-übergreifendes musikalisches Konzept nun auf ein neues Partyformat.
Der DUNKELBUNT SOCIAL CLUB bietet eine umfassende musikalische Immersion auf beiden Floors des fluc am Praterstern: Der Electronic Floor im Tiefparterre aka fluc Wanne lässt es richtig krachen, wer einen Drink mit anderen teilen möchte, den Frühsommerabend mit Blick auf den Prater genießen will, ist am Organic Floor bestens aufgehoben. Beide Floors sind Teil einer einzigen Veranstaltung, die nicht weniger als das sein soll: Weltweite Musik, am Puls der Zeit, getragen vom Spirit der Neugier, Freundschaft, Sympathie.
Der DUNKELBUNT SOCIAL CLUB ist ein Kosmos für sich, eine Safe-Zone des Miteinander, wo auch die DJs nicht vorgefertigte Sets nacheinander abspulen, sondern jeder seinen musikalischen Zauberkoffer zusammen mit den Weggefährten auspackt: Sämtliche DJs sind in Wien und anderswo gut bekannt, Wiener Legenden wie die Ost-Klub-Crew, Scheibosan oder Sweet Susie (vom Dub Club), die Weltmusik-Experten DJ Eastenders (Berlin), Barrio Soul (Hamburg) und DJ Farrapo (Bologna), Vinyl Spezialisten Woxow (Torino) oder 7Samurai (Poets Club Records) und Publikumslieblinge wie Mc Haider Khan (Jaipur), Andy Loop (Barcelona), Killo Killo (Novi Sad), und natürlich Dunkelbunt. Vienna-based DJ and producer Ulf Lindemann aka dunkelbunt starts post-pandemically with a new concept and a fresh crew: He refashions his cosmopolitan, time- and space- and genre-crossing musical concept into a new party formula.
DUNKELBUNT SOCIAL CLUB offers a wide array of music on both floors of the fluc am Praterstern: The Electronic Floor in the basement (aka fluc Wanne) lets it rip, those who want to share a drink with others and enjoy the early summer evening with a view of the Prater are in good hands on the Organic Floor (aka fluc Cafe). Both floors are part of a single event encompassing Worldwide music, completely up-to-date, carried by the spirit of curiosity, friendship, and sympathy.
DUNKELBUNT SOCIAL CLUB is a cosmos of its own, a safe zone of togetherness, where even the DJs don’t reel off prefabricated sets one after the other, but instead, everyone unpacks their magic suitcase together with their companions: : all the DJs are renowned in Vienna and elsewhere, Viennese legends like the Ost-Klub-Crew, Scheibosan or Sweet Susie (from the Dub Club), the world music experts DJ Eastenders (Berlin), Barrio Soul (Hamburg) und DJ Farrapo (Bologna), Vinyl specialists Woxow (Torino) or 7Samurai (Poets Club Records), crowd favorites like Mc Haider Khan (Jaipur), Andy Loop (Barcelona), Killo Killo (Novi Sad), and of course Dunkelbunt. Unter dem Motto “[dunkelbunt] befluegelt” nimmt der Produzent Ulf Lindemann aka [dunkelbunt] seinen Platz an der Klaviatur und leitet die bewusst reduzierte Besetzung seiner Band zu einem frischen Streifzug durch die musikalischen Traditionen dieser Welt: Im fliegenden Wechsel zwischen den Traditionen – Orient und Okzident, Balkan und die Levante, afrikanische und lateinamerikanische Moods – öffnen sich die musikalischen Horizonte, bleiben aber durch die bewusste Begrenztheit der Instrumente ganz nah und ganz da: Da ist die Sängerin und Tanzpädagogin Christiane Beinl, deren frisches Timbre und linguistische Neugier uns in die landläufigen Stimmungen arabischer, skandinavischer oder brasilianischer Traditionals versetzt; da ist der Multi-Percussionist und Tabla-Spieler Haider Khan mit seiner mitreißenden Spielfreude und berückendem Bühnenwitz. Und da ist Ulf Lindemann an den Tasten, der eigene Kompositionen und Adaptiertes mit Spiellust und Improvisationsfreude würzt: Der Weltenbummler hat seinen Platz gefunden – sein “befluegeltes” Spiel ist lyrischer geworden, der Wind der Inspiration weht aus Nord und Süd, West und Ost.
Als Geschenk zum 25-jährigen Bandjubiläum von Fanfare Ciocărlia hat [dunkelbunt] gleich noch einen Remix gezaubert, der auf das kommende Bühnenfest im Volkstheater einstimmen und den Hüftschwung trainieren soll.

Ab 23 Uhr gibt es eine turbulente DJ-Line mit DJ Woxow, DJ Adish und [dunkelbunt] an den Decks.

Mister Dunkelbunt’s monthly club night in the Fanialive: a fusion of DJ and live-event, a laboratory in the Transglobal District of this city. This time it is Carnaval Crazy in the best Balkan and Cumbia style, with a strong dash of tropical flavor.
The live set of Mr Dunkelbunt & The Exodus Complex starts at 9 pm in a breathtaking line-up with the singer and guembri-virtuoso Zakaria Ouelman from Casablanca, Trom Bone Jovi on the trombone, the percussionists Redouan Bariane and Haider Khan and Ulf [dunkelbunt] Lindemann on the keys in a live-electronics mix by Michael Hufnagl. The DJ line goes off at 11pm with DJ Woxow, DJ Adish and [dunkelbunt] on the decks.

Good things come in small packages: On January 31st, a series of Living Room Concerts will start in the [dunkelbunt] Studio, where we will make music, chat and taste spice creations in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Living Room Concerts create a space to play (an to listen to) music under optimal technical conditions. Very simply, very calmly, very intensively, Mr. Dunkelbunt concentrates on the essentials and invites outstanding musicians to get involved and to share the experience with friends, guests, fans and people interested in cross-genre music.
Living Room Concert # 1 is dedicated to accordionist Otto Lechner, one of the most original and versatile artists of the time. Confirmed are: the swing, jazz and folk singer Christiane Beinl and the singer and tabla player Haider Khan from Rajasthan.

[dunkelbunt] will perform on Sunday, September 1, as part of the “Free Concerts – OPEN PIANO” in Vienna (Museumsquartier). This is the third time at the Vienna Autumn Festival of this equally successful initiative OPEN PIANO FOR REFUGEES for an active dialogue and encounter through music practice and music lessons.
“Let’s play together for more appreciation and tolerance in our society!” – That’s the motto and [dunkelbunt] aka Ulf Lindemann will perform (together with the singer and Lindy Hop activist Christiane Beinl and with the Super Khan Brothers from Rajasthan) an instrumental set (8:15 p.m.). Before that, the Ukrainian virtuoso Evgeny Khmara will be heard (7:30 p.m.).

Neben dem neuen Album “Mountain Jumper” präsentiert Ulf Lindemann auch seine jüngsten Gewürzmischungen, die es vor und nach dem Konzert zu kosten gibt: Liquid Lava, Chimi Churi, Lemonizer, u.v.m. Local support von MELA, deren Stimme auch auf [dunkelbunt]’s neuen Album zu hören ist (The River/N.D.W.). Sie präsentiert an diesem Abend ihr kürzlich auf Vinyl erschienenes Album “The Moony Session”.

Seit über zehn Jahren steht ULF LINDEMANN alias [dunkelbunt] zusammen mit Genre-Kollegen wie WALDECK, PAROV STELAR oder SHANTEL als Pionier für die elegante Fusion von osteuropäischen Sounds mit modernen Beats im Electro-Swing Gewand. Der weit gereiste Musiker bringt in seinen Tracks eine enorme Vielfalt an musikalischen Einflüssen unter, vom Hip Hop, Electro und Jazz kommend, erschafft er wohlig warme Sounds, einen wahren Klangfarbenzauber auf geschmackvoll satt groovenden Beats.
Nach seinen Alben „Morgenlandfahrt“ (2007) und „Picnic with [dunkelbunt]“ (2012) sowie den beiden erfolgreichen „Sun Dub“-Compilations meldet sich [dunkelbunt] mit „Mountain Jumper“ endlich zurück. Beeinflusst durch seine bisher sieben Nordamerika-Touren rücken jetzt neue Flavours in den gewohnt stilsicheren Klangkosmos ein: Bluegrass, Hillbilly und Country, die Sounds der Siedler im „Wilden Westen“ zur Gründerzeit der USA hinterlassen Spuren auf den Clubsounds- und Beats. Dabei kommen Field Recordings oder Instrumente wie Slide Guitar, Geige und Banjo, aber auch Pipa und Erhu (chinesische Laute und Geige) sowie griechischer Bouzouki zum Einsatz.
Die 13 stimmungsvollen Tracks enthalten aber auch gewohnte Elemente wie deutschsprachige Raps und das stets durchschimmernde Electro-Swing-Fundament. „Mountain Jumper“ ist eine behutsame Erweiterung des [dunkelbunt]-Universums in neue Richtungen, mit allen Vorzügen, für die man den individualistischen Soundtüftler zu recht so schätzt.

In ihrem Singer/ Songwriter Projekt „Mela“ greift Marie Spaemann in die Soulkiste, zeigt ihre Liebe zum Jazz, lässt sich von Popbrisen treiben und von ihrem ursprünglich klassischen Backround inspirieren.
Mit ihrer ersten EP, „The Moony Sessions“, taucht die Cellistin in bannende Klangwelten ein und verführt zum Träumen.
Live, als One Woman Band, nutzt Mela ihr Instrument mit Hilfe einer Loop Station in all seiner Vielseitigkeit. Die Konzertcellistin hier zurücknehmend, lässt sie facettenreich Begleitungen entstehen, die den Boden für ihren soulig verspielten Gesang ebnen.

Erwin & Edwin‘s Vision ist es, Elektronische Beats und Blasmusik verschiedenster Art zu vereinen, um damit das Publikum zum Tanzen und Toben zu bringen. Auf der Bühne präsentieren sie sich mit Trompete, Gitarre, Schlagzeug, Turntables und einer Motivation, die garantiert kein Haar trocken lässt!
Mit bassgeladenen Edits und Remixes wurde die musikalische Laufbahn von Erwin & Edwin begonnen und bald mit eigens produzierten Tracks fortgesetzt.
