Die Wohnzimmer- und Studiokonzerte stellen eine Alternative zum üblichen Club- und Konzertbetrieb dar: Sie greifen die alte Form des Hauskonzerts auf, um ein konzentriertes Musizieren und Hören zu ermöglichen. In Analogie zur Slow-Food-Bewegung, die auf qualitativ hochwertige Lebensmittel in kundiger Zubereitung setzt, stellen die Wohnzimmerkonzerte eine Art “Slow Music”-Idee dar: Starke Musiker-Persönlichkeiten, intensives Miteinander, unaufgeregter Genuss des Hörerlebnisses.

Wohnzimmerkonzert #3 ist dem Akkordeonspieler und Komponisten Walther Soyka gewidmet. Als langjähriges Mitglied der Neuwirth Extrem Schrammeln und dank seiner Kooperationen mit Ernst Molden, Willi Resetarits und Karl Stirner zählt Walther Soyka zu den führenden Exponenten des Neuen Wienerlieds sowie der Neuen Wiener Improvisation. Zugesagt haben weiters: das auf Wienerlieder spezialisierte Vokalduo “drah ma’s auf!” (Irmgard Stelzer & Sascha Niemann) sowie die Vokalistin Barbara Tavernier.

Living room concert # 3 is dedicated to accordionist and composer Walther Soyka. As a long-time member of Neuwirth Extrem Schrammeln and thanks to his cooperation with Ernst Molden, Willi Resetarits and Karl Stirner, Walther Soyka is one of the leading exponents of the New Wienerlied and the New Viennese Improvisation. The vocal duo “drah ma’s auf!” (Irmgard Stelzer & Sascha Niemann), which specializes in Viennese songs, and the vocalist Barbara Tavernier also agreed.

Lisa Cantabile – Die geborene Wienerin wuchs in Rwanda und Mozambique auf und studierte am Wiener Gustav Mahler Konservatorium für Musik und darstellende Kunst Gesang. Sie lebt als Jazz-Singer-Songwriterin und Yoga-Instruktorin in Wien.
Ulf [dunkelbunt] Lindemann ist Producer, DJ und Bandleader. Geboren 1979 in Hamburg, lebt seit 2001 in Wien. Elf Alben, mehr als 1.500 Live-Auftritte weltweit, mehr als 100 Millionen Audio-Streams. – Auf den internationaler Durchbruch mit der Balkan-Hip Hop Produktion The Chocolate Butterfly ft. RAF Camora (2006) folgt Cinnamon Girl (2007) als Electro Swing-Hit und -Klassiker; Mountain Jumper (2015) wurde ORF-“Album des Jahres” 2015. Colored in the chiaroscuro of a film noir of the 40s, Lisa Cantabile’s intimate song “Fame” plays with a classic motif. In this [dunkelbunt] production, the singer deliberately seeks proximity to the genre, the drama and the large cinematic sound format: rich violins and a large reverberation room, well-tempered in jazzy trip-hop down-tempo beats.
After the hit single Viens avec moi (2019), this second cooperation of Lisa Cantabile and Ulf [dunkelbunt] Lindemann captivates with its elegant treatment of moods and attitudes.
Lisa Cantabile was born in Vienna, grew up in Rwanda / Mozambique and studied singing at the Vienna Gustav Mahler Conservatory of Music and Performing Arts. She lives as a jazz singer-songwriter and yoga instructor in Vienna.
[dunkelbunt] aka Ulf Lindemann is a producer, DJ and bandleader. Born 1979 in Hamburg and living in Vienna since 2001. Eleven album-releases, 1.500+ live acts worldwide, 100 Million+ audio streams. Mister Dunkelbunt’s monthly club night in the Fanialive: a fusion of DJ and live-event, a laboratory in the Transglobal District of this city. This time it is Carnaval Crazy in the best Balkan and Cumbia style, with a strong dash of tropical flavor.
The live set of Mr Dunkelbunt & The Exodus Complex starts at 9 pm in a breathtaking line-up with the singer and guembri-virtuoso Zakaria Ouelman from Casablanca, Trom Bone Jovi on the trombone, the percussionists Redouan Bariane and Haider Khan and Ulf [dunkelbunt] Lindemann on the keys in a live-electronics mix by Michael Hufnagl. Wohnzimmerkonzert #2 ist den Zwillingsbrüdern Alexander und Konstantin Wladigeroff gewidmet: Aus einer bulgarischen Musikerfamilie stammend, haben sich die Wladigeroff Brothers als temperamentvolle Theatermusikanten und gesuchte Studiomusiker der Bereiche Jazz/Balkan/Folk in Wien etabliert. Alexander (Sashko) Wladigeroff begleitet und tourt mit [dunkelbunt] seit mehr als einem Jahrzehnt. Zugesagt hat weiters der Sänger und Tabla-Spieler Haider Khan aus Rajasthan sowie die Vokalistin Barbara Tavernier.

Good things come in small packages: On January 31st, a series of Living Room Concerts will start in the [dunkelbunt] Studio, where we will make music, chat and taste spice creations in a relaxed atmosphere.
The Living Room Concerts create a space to play (an to listen to) music under optimal technical conditions. Very simply, very calmly, very intensively, Mr. Dunkelbunt concentrates on the essentials and invites outstanding musicians to get involved and to share the experience with friends, guests, fans and people interested in cross-genre music.

Living room concert # 2 is dedicated to the twin brothers Alexander and Konstantin Wladigeroff: Coming from a Bulgarian family of musicians, the Wladigeroff Brothers have established themselves as vivacious theater musicians and sought-after studio musicians in the fields of jazz / Balkan / folk in Vienna. Alexander (Sashko) Wladigeroff has been playing and touring with [dunkelbunt] for more than a decade. The singer and tabla player Haider Khan from Rajasthan and the singer Barbara Tavernier also agreed.

Da ist uns doch – neben all diesen entmaterialisierten Files – noch ein Stück Hardware ins Funkhaus gebracht worden, die man in so manchem Haushalt wahrscheinlich gar nicht mehr abspielen kann. Die Vienna Tapes von [dunkelbunt] kommen doch tatsächlich in dieser Limited Edition als Musikkassette daher: Sehr hübsch und nostalgisch! Unser Redaktionsgerät hat sich fast verschluckt beim Abspielen, aber der Studio-Player, obwohl er wohl auch ziemlich aus der Übung ist. Wir hören: “I’m a Tribe” von [dunkelbunt]: Viele Kulturen in einer!

“Die Musikwelt versammelt sich in Wien”: Auch so könnte man das neue Album von [dunkelbunt] nennen. Sämtlich KünstlerInnen aus Asien und Afrika, die auf “The Vienna Tapes” zu hören sind, haben ihre Basis in Wien und bereichern den Electro-Sound von [dunkelbunt] auf atemberaubende Weise.
BR2- Weltempfänger-Redakteurin Dagmar Golle stellt “The Vienna Tapes” in der Sendung “Heimatsound” vom 09. Februar 2020 vor.
Wien hat sich in den letzten 10 Jahren zu einer spannenden und bunten Musikszene entwickelt. Auch aus dem Ausland kommen immer mehr Musikerinnen und Musiker, um ihre Karriere in der Donau-Metropole anzukurbeln. Unter dem Künstlernamen “Dunkelbunt” lebt der aus Hamburg stammende DJ Ulf Lindemann seit Anfang der 2000er Jahre in Wien. Sein Markenzeichen: Elektrosound und Weltmusik. “The Vienna Tapes” heißt sein neuestes Album.
In den letzten Jahren zog es [dunkelbunt] verstärkt in den Orient, von den Maghreb-Staaten bis nach Indien. Inspiriert von diesem aufregenden Musik-Universum traf er die indische Sängerin Anuradha Genrich, eine klassisch studierte Musikerin aus Madras, die ebenfalls international unterwegs ist und keine Scheu hat, musikalische Grenzen zu sprengen. Mit Anuradha Genrich nahm [dunkelbunt] ein Stück auf, das ihren indischen Gesang elektronisch verfremdet und mit chinesischen Klängen plus Reggae-Beats verbindet. [Velavan]

Die Release “The Vienna Tapes – limited edition” versammelt 13 ausgewählte [dunkelbunt]-Tracks aus den Jahren 2015-2019. Es ist das Album eines mentalen und musikalischen Aufbruchs in den nahen und den zunehmend fernen Osten: Die Reise geht dabei vom Balkan über den Maghreb und Kenia in den arabischen Nahen Osten und dann nach Indien.
Die “Vienna Tapes” entstanden im [dunkelbunt]-Studio im zweiten Wiener Gemeindebezirk und schöpfen wesentlich aus dem Pool internationaler MusikerInnen der Stadt: Alix , der Berliner MC als textlicher und performativer Prachtkerl; die südindische Sängerin Anuradha Genrich sowie die Jazz-Singer/Songwriterinnen Lisa Cantabile und Mela Marie Spaemann; der Rapper Cloud Tissa aus Kenia und der marokkanische Raï-Sänger Kadero Rai; schließlich die aus Rajasthan stammenden Brüder Haider und Pintoo Khan als fulminante Sänger und Perkussionisten … –
Es zieht mich immer stärker in den Wirbel dieser Musikwelten und Welt-Musiken hinein und ich werfe mit der Album-Release von “Vienna Tapes” den ersten Stein in einen rasanten Fluss, den ich insgesamt als “Exodus Complex” bezeichne.
Das Besondere: “The Vienna Tapes – limited edition” erscheint im Retro-Format als limitierte Audio-Kassette mit Liner-Notes und Signatur – und natürlich auf allen üblichen Plattformen digital!
Die Bonus-Tracks “Hiroshima Mon Amour” und “Modus Operandi” verweisen bereits auf die kommende Release, die “Asia Files”, die im Februar 2020 als 7”/Vinyl erscheinen.

Ulf [dunkelbunt] Lindemann ist Producer, DJ und Bandleader. Geboren 1979 in Hamburg, lebt seit 2001 in Wien. The release “The Vienna Tapes (limited edition)” brings together thirteen selected [dunkelbunt] recordings of the years 2015-2019. It is the album of a mental and musical awakening in the realms of the Near and Far East: The journey takes off from the Balkans to the Maghreb and Kenya to the Arab Middle East (then ultimately to India.
“The Vienna Tapes” were recorded at the [dunkelbunt] studio in Vienna and draw substantially from the pool of international and globally active musicians in town: Alix, the Berlin MC; South Indian singer Anuradha Genrich; jazz singer-songwriters Lisa Cantabile and Mela Marie Spaemann; rapper Cloud Tissa from Kenya; Moroccan Raï singer Kadero Rai; Rajasthan-born singers and percussionists Haider & Pintoo Khan…
I am drawn ever more into the vortex of these musical worlds, and with the album release of “Vienna Tapes”, I cast the first stone into a raging stream, which I am calling the “Exodus Complex”.
Due to its exclusive release in the retro format of an limited-edition Audio Cassette “The Vienna Tapes – limited Edition” is unique. Besides, you’ll find the release on all digital platforms, too
